The primary investment strategies of Auction.com buyers share a critical component: Performing renovations that lead to high-quality, affordable housing, often in underserved neighborhoods.
“About nine in 10 buyers said they typically spend at least $10,000 on renovations for properties purchased on Auction.com,” said Daren Blomquist, VP of market economics. “That was consistent for both renovate-and-resell and hold-for-rent strategies, and it was nearly 100 percent for buyers whose typical purchase price on Auction.com is more than $100,000.”
