Gaushkin was nominated and then chosen by the HW awards panel to receive the accolade for being a marketing visionary who has a track record of transforming brands, leading teams, and driving business results within their industries.

Gaushkin also develops marketing talent, including hiring data scientists and high-caliber analysts – all who have contributed to a dramatic increase in Auction.com’s sales rate.
Joining Auction.com in October 2019, Gaushkin ensures that all planning and strategy starts with data and analysis and ends with measured outcomes. For example, a significant achievement this year is the marketing department’s ability to better predict a property’s propensity to go to auction. This not only helped increase Auction.com’s sales rate and revenue, but it also allowed local community developers to concentrate on assets that sell and help stabilize neighborhoods.
“Using a personalized omni-channel marketing approach, my team uses the wealth of data collected from Auction.com customers, properties, and market specifics to connect the right customer with the right property at the right time,” he said.
Proud and appreciative of his team’s efforts, Gaushkin has given them the ability to grow and develop, and they have answered the call by building proprietary tools that help the department to thrive.
“Customer experience, personalization, and use of data while joining forces get us uncommon results,” he said.
Gaushkin and his team have used grit and bridge-building with other Auction.com departments to continually evolve the ADC marketing toolbox — significantly increasing customer communications and engagements. What’s more, during Gaushkin’s tenure, email channel KPIs have increased significantly, including open and click-thru rates.
Finally, Gaushkin came to America over 25 years ago from the former Soviet Union. His wife, from Kyiv, Ukraine, has a 17-year-old niece, Maria, who was visiting their home right before the war began in Ukraine. Wanting to give their niece a chance at a normal and safe life, Mikhail and his wife are now in the process of adopting Maria.
When Mikhail isn’t running the Auction.com marketing department, he spends time with his three, soon-to-be four, children, volunteers at his local church, mentors colleagues at Auction.com, and helps the Casino Direct Marketing Association, an organization he co-founded.
