Three recent stats show that April and May 2020 have been promising months for the distressed housing market.
“REO auctions sold for an average $83 per square foot in May,” said Daren Blomquist, Auction.com VP of Market Economics. “That’s a new year-to-date high and up 8 percent from a year ago. By comparison, retail home prices appreciated just 2 percent in May 2020 compared to a year ago, according to the National Association of Realtors.”
