Congratulations, Auction.com President Ali Haralson, for winning the Laurie Maggiano Executive of the Year Award.
After a challenging year for the real estate industry, the award is a testament to outstanding leadership and a job well-done.
“I am honored to have won the coveted Laurie Maggiano Executive of the Year Award,” said Haralson. “Laurie was an industry icon, a force for good, and a believer in making a difference in the lives of others. I am humbled to be associated with her and the other fantastic nominees by this award nomination.”
Haralson was nominated and then chosen as the winner for leaving an indelible impact on the industry while positively influencing homeownership over the last year.
“The past 12 months and beyond have tested Ali’s grit and leadership skills while she responded to change,” said Auction.com CEO Jason Allnutt. “We are extremely proud of her for winning this high honor and thankful she has made us a stronger company.”
At the start of the pandemic, Haralson helped lead Auction.com to create a Community Stabilization Pledge to help safeguard distressed homeowners and occupants. The company asked its buyers to sign the pledge not to evict occupants and be part of a larger effort to support people and communities.
Haralson also continued leading the charge to refine the Auction.com platform and strategy to produce better outcomes that help stabilize neighborhoods by returning properties to market faster.
To help our sellers and buyers hit hard by the pandemic, she oversaw the enhancement of the preforeclosure Market Validation Program (MVP). Today, MVP benefits include foreclosure prevention, transparency that allows equal access for buyers, a graceful exit for borrowers, better execution for sellers, and neighborhood stabilization.
Another major milestone involving Haralson was refocusing the company’s mission and vision and enhancing its commitment to social change. In June 2020, the IDEA Council was launched, and has already created numerous educational events aimed at creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace.
During this year of change, Haralson became Auction.com’s first female president. She has since intensified the company’s focus on innovative solutions to yield better outcomes for buyers, homeowners, communities, and employees.
“There is so much to do,” she said. “But my competitive drive will keep me pushing for positive change for our company, industry, and communities; striving to stabilize neighborhoods; and creating a future of affordable housing.”
