Auction.com Welcomes Douglas Whittemore as New Head of Strategic Growth

Auction.com, the nation’s leading online foreclosure and bank-owned marketplace, is pleased to announce the appointment of Douglas Whittemore as Head of Strategic Growth. With over 25 years of executive experience in consumer banking and default servicing operations, Doug brings expertise to drive innovation and expansion at Auction.com. 

In his new role, which reports to Auction.com President Ali Haralson, Doug will spearhead the development of new business lines and products. He will focus on expanding homeownership opportunities and supporting Auction.com’s mission to create better outcomes for neighborhoods, buyers, and sellers. His strategic vision will be crucial in shaping Auction.com’s future and revolutionizing how the company serves its clients and communities. 

“Doug’s arrival marks a significant step for Auction.com,” said Haralson. “His track record of success and industry knowledge will be pivotal as we push forward with our vision for strategic growth.” 

Before joining Auction.com, Doug served as Head of Default Servicing at U.S. Bank, managing all default servicing functions for both mortgage and consumer loan portfolios. His impressive career also includes executive roles at JP Morgan Chase, Nationstar Mortgage, and Citibank, where he led the launch of Citibank’s first successful mortgage product in Poland. 

Doug’s short-term goals include integrating with the Auction.com team and applying his extensive experience to enhance the company’s platform and services. He plans to leverage transparency and technology to strategically grow the business.

Beyond his professional achievements, Doug is deeply committed to giving back to the community. With his wife, he is the Co-Founder and Treasurer of The Ruth Cheatham Foundation, a Dallas-based charity supporting adolescent cancer patients and survivors.
