Top Takeaways from the 2018 Five Star Conference

Reflection from the 2018 Five Star Conference

This year’s Five Star Conference was unforgettable — and I’m very proud that we support this important organization. I would like to thank Ed Delgado and Five Star Institute for putting together such a productive event. Thank you for your support and partnership.

For those of you who may not know, the annual Five Star Conference and Expo is the premier source of information, collaboration and progression for the housing and mortgage industry.

From honoring veterans to an exciting live qual auction, here are some of the highlights that made this year’s event so memorable:

  1. At the Keys for Life event, five selfless military veterans received keys to mortgage-free homes, courtesy of JPMorgan Chase, Auction.com and Operation Homefront, In addition, I was proud to present the $50,000 check to Operation Homefront on behalf of Auction.com, which will help veterans and their families transition to their local communities. This was Auction.com’s second $50,000 check awarded to Operation Homefront this year. Then Auction.com auctioned off five guitars signed by LeAnn Rimes, which garnered another $15,000 for Operation Homefront. Please consider donating to Operation Homefront.
  2. Auction.com premiered a new feature of Portfolio Interact™: performance analytics for foreclosure assets. Portfolio Interact is a business intelligence dashboard that delivers unprecedented asset-level detail, portfolio reporting and smart analytics for more informed pricing control and decision-making.
  3. Auction.com launched its new and improved VIP Program. The program rewards the highest-achieving buyers with business-building benefits while challenging more buyers to work their way into the exclusive program.
  4. Auction.com capped off the conference with its massive on-site Live Bid Interact event. Sellers supplied inventory from the Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Delaware area, while a targeted media campaign alerted buyers to this end-of-year property push. On the last day of the auction, sellers gathered onsite in a Dallas control room to monitor the bidding in real time and make decisions to maximize sales. The Auction.com platform created over $33 million in sales in just four hours.

This year’s conference was Auction.com’s most successful yet. So thank you, Five Star, for your partnership and for creating an invaluable place to network, learn and build business.
