There’s a group of Auction.com buyers who are leading a transformative shift in how distressed properties are purchased.
According to Auction.com’s 2024 Buyer Insights Report, about 13% of respondents were owner-occupant buyers, up from 8% in 2022.
What’s more, the share of owner-occupant buyers at online, bank-owned, or REO, auctions has nearly doubled over the last two years, from 12 percent in 2021 to 22 percent in 2023.
